Redis Enterprise 7.2:
Redis Data Integration

Your organization has legacy applications. That’s okay – everybody does. There are all sorts of reasons why you can’t update them right now. It’s on the list, along with 3,274 other things (all marked URGENT).

But in the meantime, those applications need to work with current software, both your own enterprise applications and everything to which it connects.

That’s why we developed Redis Data Integration (RDI), the easiest way to make your older applications work in a real-time environment, with real-time performance. And with Redis Enterprise, you don’t need to write any new code.

Look, we know you’ve cobbled together workarounds with stone knives and bearskins. Businesses commonly add a cache on top of their relational or NoSQL databases, for instance. That’s just a short-term answer, though, and it often means that the application is slow, with poky response times whenever it needs to interact with another application in the enterprise infrastructure. Building a cache prefetch for these databases, especially at scale, is challenging.

There’s also the issue of getting new kinds of data to play nicely with the legacy applications, which currently take a lot of mapping and integration. RDI transforms SQL-based or tabular data into Redis data types automatically.

In short, RDI solves the issue of having a slower database in the background ruining user experience and slowing down services altogether. And with no-code, RDI removes the complexity of creating a two-way data streaming pipeline.
